Guest Blogger Post Ideas

Want to be a Beering Guest Blogger?

We have had such a great response to reaching out to fellow Instagram beer bloggers and asking if they would like to be a guest blogger on our brand new website! This is the first step to building our community and it will be very exciting to read articles from beer bloggers all over the world! Many people loved the idea, but a few have asked what they can post about! So we have created this post to help give some ideas of the kind of subjects we will be featuring! Whether you have received an email invite to this page or come across it by chance, we would love to get as many from the community involved in this as possible. Here are some ideas for a guest blogger post!

“Beering Tales”
– Ever had a great story behind a beer? The beer you discovered backpacking round Asia? The beer you rewarded yourself with after your near death experience? (I’ll be writing about mine soon) The beer tower you demolished on a stag do with only pictures and a banging headache to remember it by? – We’d love to hear your Beering Tales and how you survived to tell it! This is a great opportunity everyone to share and for creative writers who want to build their writing portfolio! We will be featuring the most amazing stories on our social media channels too!

“Beering Pub Crawls”
– Does your town or city have a fantastic pub crawl circuit? We are looking to build a complete guide of the best pub crawls all over the world! The key to this post would be great pictures, names of bars and your reccomended order to make the attempt! If you would like to see an example of this, please read our post about “London’s Beer Mile”, in a place called Bermondsey in Southeast London! – If you would like to write about your own Pub Crawl we can create an Infographic like ours for your blog post if you send us the information!

“My Local”
– A chance to write about your local taproom or pub! Giving as many details as possible is key to making this type of blog a success and it would be great to hear about information on the town its in, the venue, its beers, and why you love it! We will soon be writing a post about our favourite local taprooms very soon!

“My Year Of Beer”
– Maybe you would prefer to write about your favourite beers from this year or last? We would love to hear your top 10 beers and why you enjoyed them so much! Include as much detail as you can and pictures! We would love to create a database of all our guest bloggers and their favourite beers each year and see which ones appear the most! You can check out the Official Beering Top Beers 2021 – Here!

“Beerheads”
– As we are official partners with the Beerheads NFT project, we’ll be writing a lot of blogs to help interested beer enthusiasts join the project safely and learn more about how this all works! Beerheads will be posting a lot of content on our website but there are many ways to join the project (We will soon be releasing a post called “How can I join the Beerheads Project” – Stay tuned) Until then, you can check out their website here!

“Homebrewing Tips And Experiences”
– We would definitely love to hear from anyone who has attempted homebrewing! Weather you are a complete beginner or an experienced hophead, we would love to encourage everyone to write about their experiences, good or bad! (So far most of ours are bad)

“Beering Brewery Guides”
– Similar to “My Local” but aimed at the owners or people involved in these establishments to guide potential customers on what to expect!

Other Ideas

The possibilities are endless so there is likely many craft beer subjects we’ve missed out so everyone is welcome to submit other beer related blog posts! Before you start writing however, please read below!

Is there anything I can’t write about?

In order to provide quality and value to our community, we’ve set up a few guidelines to follow.

1. Must be beer related – Please…

2. No hard-sales – We appreciate taprooms, online stores and brewers will be writing about their business with the hope of gaining more exposure, and that’s something we definitely encourage. However, we would like to encourage business owners to think more “guide” than “advert”. If you would like to include special discounts to the Beering community, please get in touch with us first! Also see our blog post entitled “How to write about my beer business”

3. Beer Reviews – Definitely something we would like to encourage, however if you would like to do this, we would like to request a minimum of 10 beer reviews per blog post in a particular category such as “My top 10 stouts” or “My top 10 Omnipollo beers” or “My favourite summer beers” etc. Make it personal as we’ll use your blog name/instagam name. It is best to write in blog/diary style, not just a short list. Please save the short single reviews for your Untappd account!

4. Pictures – Pictures look great in blog posts and are strongly encouraged, however every picture you include MUST be either your own, or a picture you have permission to use! We do not want to break any copyright laws so this is essential.

…and thats it! Take your time and enjoy it! Our most popular guest bloggers will be invited back to write again and in the future we may look at regular writing positions for those who would like to! We will try to use and feature all the blog posts we receive as long as they follow our guidelines and provide valuable, useful or enjoyable content to our community! We envision Beering to be build by the community, for the community!
